At B&O, our products are built to stand the test of time. “In a world of consumer electronics, most products are regarded as disposable commodities. “The Classics initiative was born out of B&O’s commitment to longevity, which ensures relevance for our customers many years after buying our products,” claims Mads Kogsgaard Hansen who leads the initiative at Bang & Olufsen. The idea is also to uncover design principles that can extend the lifespan of future products at a time when we are all looking to recycle more and extend the life of our technology. The ambitious project involves restoring and re-imagining classic B&O products to demonstrate the timelessness of the brand’s capabilities within sound, design, and craftsmanship. The Beogram 4000c turntable was originally introduced in the early 1970s, and it’s the first product to be released in B&O’s brand-new Classics initiative.
